Dear Sir,

3 Shantung Road Hospital,

Shanghai,

May 15th.

I beg to inquire if there is any vacancy on the staff of the Hong Kong Educational Department for a teacher of English, History or German, for the session beginning September 1927.

I am a graduate of London University, England and hold a B.A. (Honours) degree, First Class, in English and History. I have a First Class Training Diploma of the Department of Education, Saskatchewan, Canada, and have had several years' experience in teaching in High Schools, both in England and Canada. I have been in China a year and a half, teaching in the I Fang Girls' Collegiate School, Changsha, Hunan, which was closed by the Nationalists in

April.

I regret that ry testimonials are among my possessions left in Changsha, but reference may be made in

China to

(1) Miss P. S. Tseng (Principal, I Fang, Changsha)

at 3 Shantung Road Hospital,

Shanghai.

(2) Dr. W. B. Nance, Principal, Soochow University,

I may say that in 1923, I applied for a post under your department and was accepted by the Board of Education in England, but circumstances over which I had no control made it impossible to accept the appointment.

I am, &c.,

(Sd.) Winifred A. Galbraith.

The Secretary,

Department of Education,

Hong Kong.
